Come and sing with us

We are always on the lookout for good singers, especially tenors and basses, so if you think you would like to join us contact the Administrator either by email at enquiries@stalbansbachchoir.org.uk or by phoning 01923 263939. We hold auditions at the start of every term.

Our members usually have previous choral singing experience and are able to read music. We rehearse on Monday evenings from 8.00pm to 10.00pm during term time, at Verulam School in St Albans.

To maintain our high standards of performance, members are expected to make every effort to attend all rehearsals, though a maximum of two absences per term is permitted. Members who wish to sing in the concert but who have been absent for more than two rehearsals may be asked to take a short audition. The annual subscription is currently £180.

Young people’s membership
We have a policy of encouraging young
singers so if you are age 26 or under and
have completed a successful audition, membership is free.

You will be supplied with music free of charge (new scores or hired, depending on availability) and you will be given a free choir music folder.

Free membership is offered year on year automatically up to the age of 26.
